Getting to UTD (map 1)
UTD is in Richardson, Texas, north of Dallas. The main entrance to campus is
on West Campbell Road and is labeled A
on the map. There is a light at the entrance. If you are coming from the east
the street sign at the light says University Parkway. If you are coming from
the west the street sign at the light says West Shore.

Getting to parking at UTD
(map 2)
After you enter at A, take the fork to
the right at B and stop at the small
shed (the Visitor Center) where you ask the attendant for a free visitor’s
parking pass. (Note if you don’t have a visitors pass, you may get a parking
ticket. Since this is a state university, you are still liable for paying the
fine even if you are not a student or employee of the University.) From there,
follow the arrows and park in lots C and D (labeled C
here) in any free space in the green section. The concrete wheel stops in the
lots are painted to show the sections. If you have difficulty finding a space,
try lots A and B just to the north. From there follow the arrow and walk west
to the library (MC on the map). Your ultimate goal is the student union labeled
D on the map.

Getting to the Student Union (map
3)
For such a relatively small campus, UTD is confusing even in the best of times.
Right now they are doing massive construction and renovation, so getting any
place on campus now makes you feel like Theseus wandering through the Labyrinth.
Enter the front door of the Library and then turn right and go through the lobby
and out the west doors. You will then walk on a fenced-in walkway between the
no-man’s-land of the construction and then into the first floor of the
Student Union. Go up the stairs (or take the elevator) to the second floor and
head to the south end of the Student Union where the Galaxy Rooms are. There
are several rooms there, but we will have posters up next to the correct doorways.
If at any time you get lost or turned around, just ask any student there and
they’ll direct you.
